Addiction Treatment Services Highlights Support Resources for National Recovery Month

September is National Recovery Month, a national observance dedicated to celebrating individuals in recovery from substance use disorders and raising public awareness about the help that’s available. Addiction Treatment Services (ATS) in Traverse City is stepping up to support this effort by connecting people in need — and their families — with local recovery resources across five counties.

ATS Director of Marketing and Fund Development Rachel Soulliere emphasized that recovery support is available for everyone, whether someone is just beginning their journey or helping a loved one. With significant numbers of Americans affected by substance use challenges, having access to compassionate local services is more important than ever.

As part of the month’s activities, ATS partnered with community groups to host the Art of Recovery event, featuring a silent art auction that brings people together to celebrate healing and raise funds for ongoing recovery support.

National Recovery Month itself is marked throughout the United States by a wide range of educational materials, events and tools that promote recovery understanding, reduce stigma and highlight evidence-based treatment services — including therapy, peer support groups and community programs.
