Jim Weller, Withdrawal Management Program Manager
James Weller is the Program Manager for The PIER Withdrawal Management program. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Science from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Food Science from the University of Tennessee. Since joining ATS in 2023, he has advanced from Navigator to Lead Navigator and now leads the program, bringing both professional expertise and lived experience as a person in recovery.
Before entering the behavioral health field, James spent over 10 years in research and development in the food manufacturing industry, including leading product innovation for Pepperidge Farm Flavor Blasted Goldfish.
He is active in the Traverse City recovery community and enjoys spending time outdoors, as well as volunteering with the Empire Area Museum as part of the Empire Historical Society.
