Carrie Ullery-Smith, Secretary
Carrie (she/her) is a sexual health educator with a degree in Family Studies and Public Health Education from Central Michigan University. Since 2003 Carrie has worked with recovery communities to create inclusive, trauma informed education programs on everything from consent and healthy relationships to HIV and viral hepatitis prevention. In 2021 Carrie co-created the Sexual Health Ambassadors program, designed to train people in long-term recovery from a substance use disorder to deliver sexual health education within treatment centers. Carrie has been providing education within ATS residential programs since 2011 and joined the ATS Board of Directors in 2022. Carrie is currently the Board Secretary and serves on the Executive Committee as well as the Board Relations Committee. Carrie lives in Traverse City with her family. Together, they love to travel and explore new places.
